Pediatric ChiropracticAs Dallas trusted pediatric chiropractors, we understand that your child's health is your number one priority. At The Source, we provide gentle, specialized care designed specifically for growing bodies—from newborns to teenagers.
Growing bodies face unique physical stresses. Birth trauma, learning to walk, sports injuries, heavy backpacks, and screen time can all affect your child's developing spine and nervous system.
Our pediatric approach uses incredibly gentle techniques tailored to each child's age and needs—whether that's a fussy newborn, an energetic toddler, or a sports-active teen.
Supporting Your Child’s Growth, Naturally for Every Stage of Growing Up
Infant & Baby Chiropractic (0–12 Months)The first year of life is a period of rapid growth and transformation. Birth—whether vaginal or cesarean—can place stress on a newborn’s delicate system. Gentle, specific chiropractic care helps release tension, support nervous system function, and encourage healthy development from the very beginning.
We often support infants experiencing:
Colic and excessive crying
Torticollis (head tilt or side preference)
Breastfeeding or latch challenges
Tongue and lip ties (before or after release)
Body tension or back arching
Sleep disturbances
Reflux and digestive discomfort
Recovery from birth stress
Toddler Chiropractic (1–3 Years)Toddlerhood is full of movement, milestones, and discovery. As little ones learn to walk, run, and explore, their bodies adapt to new physical demands and occasional tumbles.
Chiropractic care during this stage supports proper spinal and neurological development, helping their growing bodies stay balanced, adaptable, and resilient as they become more active.
Kids & School-Age Chiropractic (4–18 Years)As children grow, their bodies face new stressors—heavy backpacks, prolonged sitting, increased screen time, and sports activities. These can impact posture, comfort, and overall well-being.
We support children and teens navigating:
Ear infections
Growing pains
Headaches
Bedwetting
Focus and attention challenges
Sensory processing concerns
Scoliosis monitoring
Anxiety and stress
Sleep difficulties
Recurring illness
Sports-related injuries
What Makes Pediatric Chiropractic Adjustments Different?
If you’re expecting the “cracking and popping” often associated with adult chiropractic care, we want to reassure you—pediatric adjustments are very different.
For infants, care is extremely gentle, using light pressure similar to checking the ripeness of a tomato. Many babies remain relaxed, often sleeping through their adjustment or briefly stirring before settling back down.
For toddlers and young children, adjustments are still very gentle and are often incorporated into play to help them feel safe and comfortable throughout their visit.
For older children and teens, techniques are tailored to their size, stage of development, and individual needs. We always take time to explain what we’re doing and why, so both parents and patients feel informed and at ease.
Frequently Asked QuestionsWill the adjustments hurt my child?
No—pediatric chiropractic care is extremely gentle. Most children are calm, curious, or even playful during visits. Babies often sleep, and older children typically love it.
How often would my child need to come in?
This depends on the child and their needs. Some come in for short periods of focused care, while others benefit from more consistent check-ins during growth phases. Recommendations are always individualized rather than one-size-fits-all.
Do I need a referral from my pediatrician?
No referral is necessary. However, we love working collaboratively with your child's healthcare team and are happy to communicate with your pediatrician.
